The Dark Negate couldn't negate a dark technique, and Higa got the full brunt of the attack, the Dark Negate vanishing and its user flopping through the clouds. *SHING!!* Some of Silphymon's feathers were cut off as he too fell through the clouds, at least releasing Laryomon's lance.

Laryomon: (Checks his lance) There does not appear to be any damage... Derryn: Stay alert, they're likely to use the clouds as cover for a counter-attack, we bloodied their noses, but until I see them subdued, I'm going to assume they're still moving... On the other hand, during this lull... (Pops open his V2X and activates the Angelic Lancer, which Laryomon switches out his normal spear for) Laryomon: A sound plan, this spear will be useful against this foe.

They still didn't come up, and the Dronae had long dispersed.

Derryn: ... Laryomon: ... Well, it would seem that they are waiting for a better time to return Derryn: Either that, or they decided to bypass us and go straight for that relic, let's move on, but keep our guard up. Laryomon: One would agree, it was this way. (Points in the direction the dronae were coming from) Correct? Derryn: I think so, let's hurry. (Goes off)

The air became thinner the further they went, but soon they ended up in the floating fortress area they had been to before. The Dronae had converged on one pillar in general.

Derryn: Well... That's clearly what they're after... (Settles on the ground of the Fortress Area, and tries taking a closer look at the pillar) Laryomon: Shouldn't you use that device Geos gave you? Derryn: Not just yet, we don't know what sort of effect it'll have on that relic, and if there's any way to retrieve it, we should. Laryomon: Very well... How shall this battle be conducted then? Derryn: I'd actually prefer to avoid direct confrontation here, we're at a disadvantage this high up, and we still don't know if Higa's out of the picture or not, I'd prefer to conserve my energies Laryomon: Understood, it is a Stealthy approach you suggest then? Derryn: Yeah, if at all possible, do you see any routes we could take that would get us there mostly unseen? Laryomon: I will try... (Zips back and up a bit, and takes a more detailed look at the fortress area)

There were several clouds above the relic area that the Dronae didn't occupy, so a drop from the clouds would be ideal. However, the move would have to be fast because the air would be even thinner.

Derryn: (Nods a few times) Right, we're going through the clouds. Laryomon: This One would not advise it, your mobility would be very limited at that altitude. Derryn: Who said I'll need much mobility? (Starts gathering the low amount of air pressure in the area, and channels it around his feet) If I gather force from here, and explode it, I'll be up in the clouds in a heartbeat, and if I angle it right, I can use the remaining pressure to soften my fall, and sneak in undetected. Laryomon: ... Very well, shall this One accompany you? Derryn: (Waves hand) Nah, but if or when the Dronae discover me, I want you to join in, is that good? Laryomon: It is acceptable, I shall wait here then. Derryn: Alright... So... (Finishes gathering a pocket underneath him) Here I GO! (Releases most of the pressure, blasting him into the air through the clouds, using some of the remainder to correct his motion, and as soon as he was about to drop through again, began using what was already there to slow the fall to a less injuresome velocity)

Derryn didn't exactly land gracefully, but the Dronae were still none the wiser. Before him was a tablet with some writing on it and something sticking out of it.

Derryn: @_@ Well... That stung a bit... (Gets up from the ground, and trudges over to the Relic, and starts looking over the writing) Now then... I... @_@ Can't read this at all... Hang on a second though... (Looks at the protrusion) That looks familiar... (Rummages through his coat, and pulls out the White Wing Key, and compares it to the protrusion) Yeah, they definately look alike, maybe I can take it out...

The White Wing Key reacted, and the protrusion turned into a similar key, just light blue in color. ------ Derryn gained the Blue Wing Key ------ The writing now appeared to look English to Derryn. "When two wings are brought together, the Pegasus shall fly once more."

Derryn: ... Interesting... (Pockets the two keys) These definately unlock something, and I've got both now... Wonder what that "Pegasus" is. Oh well, might as well finish this whole mission. (Digs out the device Geos gave him, and activates it, tossing it high into the air, and then rushing out from where the Blue Wing Key was, cutting down any Dronae that got in his way. In fact, Laryomon was about to join in, until he saw Derryn shaking his hand wildly. "RUN YOU FOOL! I don't know the effects it'll have on us!" Laryomon nodded sagely, and after Derryn joined up, went along with him.

The device didn't do a damn thing for ten seconds. As I said ten seconds. *FRAGOOM!!!!!!* A white orb of light exploded out of the device, engulfing the Dronae completely, causing them to scream in agony.

Derryn: Huh... Seems like it's working! Laryomon: Would it be safe for One to let One's guard down now? Derryn: Not until we're back home Laryomon: True, One suggests we should head in that direction shortly then Derryn: Yeah, let's get down a bit further...

The Dronae shriveled up, and reverted into a massive amount of aerial Digimon, Airdramon, Birdramon, and the like. Airdramon: O_o The hell just happened? Last thing I remember was looking for some grub. Birdramon: O_o; I was just having a little fly time.
